Continuing Legal Education (CLE)
Conflicts of Interest: Law, Ethics and Practice

Conflict of interest for lawyers both in both public and private practice. The relevant law and sections of the Nunavut Code of Conduct (2016) will be reviewed, but the emphasis will be on practice issues such as spotting situations that give rise to conflict, dealing with potential or perceived conflict, and managing the soft conflicts that arise in Nunavut, where we tend to know each other in many capacities, and where the adverse party in a case could easily turn out to be your good neighbour.
