Okey Ikewibe a Registered Psychotherapist with GN-Iqaluit Mental Health and Addictions with 13 years of experience. His practice utilizes evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Informed approaches. He has a strong background in working with individuals who have experienced complex trauma.

He is  committed to providing compassionate and effective care. He believes in a holistic approach to healing, collaborative approaches, client-centered and integrating traditional teachings into modern psychotherapy.

Helping individuals navigate trauma, intergenerational trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. He believes  in creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, emotions and focusing on building resilience and fostering personal growth.

What? Trauma-Informed Approaches for Working With Clients

Working with clients who have experienced trauma is now a core competency for modern legal practice. This CLE introduces trauma-informed principles and practical techniques to help lawyers communicate more effectively, reduce re-traumatization, manage difficult disclosures, and create safer professional environments. Participants will leave with tools they can immediately apply in client interviews, negotiations, and court preparation.
